Villages provide a grassroots solution to allow seniors to remain connected to their communities, through accessing services and support in their homes. The Village model is rapidly expanding across California and the nation. NCB Capital Impact will create technical assistance tools and resources for start-up and organizational development for Village expansion in California. It is anticipated that through the expansion of the Village model, more seniors will have access to services that they need to continue to age in place and as a result of these services will have a higher quality of life. On a national level NCB Capital Impact will develop an evaluation and data collection system as part of the Village-to-Village Network. The Village-to-Village network is a membership-based organization which provides support for the Village movement. Villages will provide basic demographic information and service utilization on members. This information will serve to develop the framework for a formal evaluation of the Village movement to support further expansion in California and nationally.
